Implenia's business better than expected

Implenia expects to achieve an operating performance at EBIT level of at least CHF 80 million in the first half of 2022. This means that the target for the year as a whole - a figure of over CHF 100 million - is within reach earlier than expected.

As Implenia writes in an ad hoc release, the planned strengthening of the equity base for the full year will be exceeded by CHF 80 million. The company is expected to achieve an operating performance at EBIT level of at least CHF 80 million as early as the first half of 2022. This is twice as much as in the same period last year, when Implenia generated CHF 40 million.

Previously, Implenia expected EBIT of more than CHF 120 million and an operating performance at EBIT level of more than CHF 100 million for the full year 2022. The estimated share of positive one-off effects from the transformation would be less than 20%.

Implenia continues to report that order intake remains "encouraging", while profitability is also on the rise: "All divisions are expected to make an improved contribution to earnings this year," the company says. Implenia expects a significant contribution to profit from the Real Estate division. The targeted strong expansion of the equity base will be additionally strengthened by the revaluation of some owner-occupied operational properties.

Implenia will present its business figures for the first half of 2022 and its higher expectations for the full year 2022 on August 17, 2022. (ah)
