Steiner and House of Lab Science to develop innovation parks
Steiner AG and the startup House of Lab Science are teaming up to realize innovation parks. The first projects are planned in Basel and Winterthur.
House of Lab Science is a young company that offers and operates innovation parks for companies from the life sciences sector. The real estate service provider Steiner AG has entered into a partnership with it and plans to jointly develop two sites in Basel and Winterthur as a first step.
Together, they have the necessary know-how to respond with innovative building concepts to the growing demand for space in the life sciences sector, a key industry in Switzerland, the two companies wrote in a joint statement. House of Lab Science contributes, among other things, an innovative community platform as well as contacts in the industry and startup world. The company owns a site in Hombrechtikon (ZH) and provides operational and fully equipped development and lab space as well as office, meeting and collaboration rooms.
Steiner brings real estate development expertise and resources to the table. For example, the company has developed the Manufakt concept, which offers modularly usable spaces that can be used to share areas as needed. The first Manufakt building opened in summer 2021. (ah)
