Implenia builds in western Switzerland for over CHF 100 million
In Geneva, Implenia is building the ten-story "Kyoto" office building, and in Biel, a residential building with 105 apartments.

Implenia's Building division has landed two major contracts in western Switzerland. Implenia has been commissioned by the Swiss Life investment foundation as general contractor for the Kyoto office building in the Green Village. The project has a total volume of more than CHF 60 million and will take around two years to complete. Implenia's real estate division has already been commissioned to develop the Green Village district. Implenia was also responsible for the realization of the Montreal residential building. The Kyoto office building comprises ten floors, including the first floor, which will be partially extended according to the wishes of the future tenant. The new building is aiming for SNBS certification.
In Biel, Implenia is building the Alleestrasse residential and commercial development
Implenia is also acting as general contractor for the client Meili Unternehmungen AG, constructing two replacement buildings with five full stories on the Brühlstrasse Süd site in Biel. A total of 105 rental apartments are planned, as well as service areas on the first floor. The project is the result of a study commission carried out by Meili Unternehmungen AG and won by architects Bart & Buchhofer AG. The solid construction with rear-ventilated wooden facade will be built with geothermal probes, a heat pump and a large-scale photovoltaic system. The project has a total volume of CHF 42 million and will take around two and a half years to complete. (aw)
