According to 1291 Swiss Investment Foundation, capital commitments totaling CHF 55.7 million were received from more than ten investors in the first subscription period. The focus of the new investment group is on investments in new construction projects throughout Switzerland, particularly in medium-sized and large Swiss centers and their agglomerations.

With a develop-and-hold investment strategy, the aim is to build up "a long-term, sustainable portfolio with at least 60 percent residential use," the investment foundation adds. The focus is on the development and realization of sustainable construction projects with attractive value creation potential. The portfolio will be mixed, comprising mainly (future) residential properties and also properties with (future) commercial use. The initial portfolio of the new investment group consists of two new construction and development projects in Effretikon (ZH) and Wil (SG) with an expected investment value of around CHF 175 million.

The 1291 Swiss Investment Foundation was founded by Butti Bauunternehmung AG, Freienbach, which has been active in the real estate sector since 1909, and is advised by Nova Property Fund Management AG, Zurich. (bw)
