The SPI ESG Index lists Swiss shares of companies that have a standardized and well-founded sustainability profile. The companies in the SPI ESG Index must meet a defined number of ethical, social and measurable corporate governance criteria, Hiag says. In addition, the basis for inclusion in the index is membership of the Swiss Performance Index (SPI) and the best possible sustainability rating from Inrate, the rating provider appointed by the SIX Swiss Exchange.

"Inclusion in the SPI ESG Index confirms Hiag's substantial improvement in Inrate's ESG rating and the sustainability of our strategy," says CEO Marco Feusi. The real estate company says it is currently pursuing several ESG initiatives, including participating in the GRESB Real Estate Assessment 2022 and developing a CO2 reduction path. (ah)
