DBS takes over Liegenschafter Immobilien and Hammer Retex
The real estate service provider DBS Group from Lausanne is expanding into German-speaking Switzerland. It acquires the brands Die Liegenschafter Immobilien and Hammer Retex from Die Liegenschafter Holding.
As the DBS Group and Die Liegenschafter Holding AG write in a joint announcement, the two companies Die Liegenschafter Immobilien AG and Hammer Retex AG will remain separate legal entities within DBS. The network of locations of the French-speaking Swiss real estate company will grow in the course of the takeover with the addition of branches in Cham (ZG), Brüttisellen (ZH) and Baden (AG).
The addition of the two companies is in line with DBS' strategy to increase its presence in German-speaking Switzerland and become the leading property manager in Switzerland, it said. "This move will allow us to improve our operational efficiency and support our clients from other central locations in the future. Our market share in the Zurich region and central Switzerland will increase significantly," Christophe Hubschmid, CEO of DBS Group, commented on the acquisition.
Thomas Denzler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Die Liegenschafter Holding, describes the integration of the two companies into the DBS Group as a "stroke of luck": "In the course of the transformation and the further deepening digitalization bundled with new technologies as well as the great challenges in sustainability and personnel recruitment, I am convinced that the professional processing and the high investment requirements in the management business can only be solved and financed in a larger group," he says.
Liegenschafter Holding and its subsidiaries Die Liegenschafter Generalunternehmung and Die Liegenschaften Investment are not part of the takeover. They remain the property of Thomas Denzler. (ah)
