Implenia wins building construction projects for CHF 150 million

As part of the Rösslimatt district development, Implenia is constructing an office and commercial building for SBB Immobilien in the immediate vicinity of Lucerne railroad station, with workplaces for around 1,000 employees. Retail and restaurant space will be created on the first floor. Implenia has been commissioned as a total contractor to carry out the basic construction work. In addition to certification as a 2000-watt site, the building is being constructed to the DGNB Silver standard. The project has a contract volume of over CHF 50 million, started in September 2022 and will take a good two years to complete.

Also in Lucerne, Implenia has been awarded the contract for master builder work on the new Children's Hospital/Women's Clinic building at Lucerne Cantonal Hospital (LUKS). Work on the CHF 40.8 million project began in August 2022 and will continue until mid-2024. The building's sustainable operation will be ensured by the Minergie-P-ECO building standard, an energy network with geothermal storage under the new building (270 geothermal probes) and a photovoltaic system on the roof.

Four modernization projects

Implenia is also carrying out four modernization projects with a combined order volume of CHF 50 million:

• Implenia is renovating the listed hall Draisine (formerly Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik) with kindergarten and elementary school in the Lokstadt in Winterthur (ZH) with master builder and timber construction for the owner Ina Invest.
• On Dornacherstrasse in Basel, the Buildings Division is refurbishing an apartment building in occupied condition on behalf of a major Swiss bank.
• In Cugy (VD), Implenia was also commissioned by this major bank to carry out the comprehensive refurbishment of a large development to Minergie standard.
• Implenia is modernizing three apartment buildings in occupied condition on Rue de Beaumont for two real estate companies in Geneva. (aw)
