Stoneweg: Max-Hervé George joins with his Icona Capital
A company owned by Max-Hervé George, founder of Ultima Capital, is investing 40% in Stoneweg S.A., a Geneva-based real estate investor and advisor.
The entry of London-based Icona Capital strengthens Stoneweg's growth trajectory, the Geneva-based company writes in a statement. The transaction creates a combined platform with a volume of 8 billion euros. The two partners now intend to complement each other in the areas of capital raising, deal flow origination and asset distribution.
Stoneweg was founded in 2015 and has strengthened its management team and board this year. The company structures investment products in Switzerland, Spain, Andorra, Italy, the UK, Ireland and the US, and manages real estate assets of over €5 billion with 140 employees. Investments to date include residential properties, commercial properties, logistics buildings and hospitality properties.
Icona advises several investment vehicles across asset classes in real estate, credit, private equity, special situations and growth equity. Most of Icona's €3 billion assets are controlled and managed by a team led by Max-Hervé George. (aw)
