Swiss Property expands into Germany
The project developer Swiss Property, which specializes in timber construction, has opened a branch in Munich and brought investment specialists Henrik Fillibeck and Axel Trescher from Catella on board.
Zurich-based Swiss Property AG has opened its first branch office in Germany. The Munich office is headed by real estate investment specialists Henrik Fillibeck (52) and Axel Trescher (52). The two move from Catella Real Estate. Fillibeck most recently served as Spokesman of the Management Board and was responsible for Corporate Business Development & Strategy, Research, Sales, Portfolio and Asset Management as well as Loan Arrangement and Marketing. Trescher worked in portfolio management and sales at Catella.
Swiss Property develops multi-story residential buildings in timber construction; among other things, the company has realized several apartment buildings of the large-scale Andermatt Swiss Alps project. By its own account, Swiss Property has managed projects worth more than CHF 620 million since it was founded in 2014, both ongoing and completed. The main shareholders are entrepreneurs Dan Holzmann and Gary Fegel.
"We are convinced that now is the right time to bring our business model, which is established in Switzerland, to Germany as well," explains Johannes May, CEO of Swiss Property. He is convinced that Swiss timber construction is a leader in Europe and will become enormously more relevant as the real estate industry continues to develop with a focus on sustainability. (ah)
