Numa expands into Switzerland with serviced apartments
German serviced apartment operator Numa has big plans for Switzerland. In Zurich, the company says it has already leased three properties.
Numa's first apartment building in Zurich is called "Numa Craft" and will offer short, mid and long stays at Stauffacher. Operations at Bäckerstrasse 9 are scheduled to start at the beginning of April, with 18 rooms available. The pipeline for expansion in the coming months includes more than 150 beds, according to Numa. The next steps will be to look for suitable buildings in prime locations in Geneva, Basel, Bern, Lucerne, Lausanne and Lugano.
The Berlin-based company is on the market in eight European countries with over 3,000 units. The concept targets busy neighborhoods and caters to tourists and business travelers. Numa's apartments are fully automated and promise to reduce operating costs by 60%. (aw)
