SFP invests in the UK with Redevco
Swiss Finance & Property Group has founded a joint venture with Redevco UK. Together, the two want to invest in British residential real estate.
SFP Group investment vehicles will contribute 90% of equity to the joint venture, and Redevco will hold a 10% stake. The investment strategy is to "convert undervalued traditional commercial properties to residential and mixed use," according to a statement. It aims to create much-needed housing for the U.K. rental market in the U.K.'s fastest-growing regional centers. The first project is in the Finnieston district of Glasgow.
Redevco originated as the real estate company of the owners of C&A and originally specialized in retail properties. The company has since focused on investment management and has been investing in residential real estate across Europe since 2018. (aw)
