Wincasa launches ESG data platform

Among other things, the new platform should make it much easier to prepare reports, e.g. in accordance with the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB). "Our platform makes it possible to integrate a wide variety of data sources and evaluate data in accordance with international reporting standards," says Niklas Naehrig, Head of Strategy & Sustainability. In addition to the use of data sources from the management, the ESG platform also enables the integration of publicly available data and automated data quality checks. The system is currently being tested by Wincasa and Novalytica as a pilot project in the portfolio of a "well-known Swiss real estate owner".

As a real estate service provider, Wincasa has a lot of data from the operation of properties, it continues. The quantification and reporting of sustainability issues is complex due to the large number of different data sources. Another major challenge is the quality of the data and the manual effort required to check and improve it. In addition, there are various ESG frameworks and reporting standards, e.g. GRESB, whose measurement criteria and requirements differ from one another. (aw)
