Implenia has won two major civil engineering projects in Zurich and Winterthur with an order volume of around CHF 100 million.

The Schlieren-Europabrücke highway junction in Zurich-Grünau is being upgraded; Implenia has been awarded the contract for the main work. The work will begin in fall 2023 and last until 2027, with Implenia repairing the existing road surface between the Schlieren and Altstetten junctions, among other things.

In Winterthur, a 390 m long bridge for pedestrians, bicycles and buses is being built over the tracks to connect the new Neuhegi-Grüze district to public transport. This "Grüze crossing" connects Sulzerallee with St.Gallerstrasse.

Work will begin in August 2023 and finish at the end of 2026. Implenia (share 80%) is carrying out the project in a consortium with Landolt AG (20%) as the local partner. The work includes special civil engineering for foundations and protective structures, various civil engineering services in the track area and complex falsework structures. The bridge is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of 2026. (ah)
