Senior residence: largest tenant applies for debt restructuring moratorium
Leukerbad Clinic AG has applied for debt-restructuring moratorium. The clinic's property belongs to Senioresidenz AG.
A tenant of Senioresidenz AG, Leukerbad Clinic AG, has requested a debt restructuring moratorium. The real estate company writes this in an ad hoc announcement. According to Senioresidenz, the company is in close contact with the administrator regarding the restructuring of the clinic company in order to find viable solutions for the rented property.
As can be seen from the report on the first half of 2023, Leukerbad Clinic AG is the largest tenant of the Senioresidenz with an annual target rent of CHF 3.1 million, followed by Tertianum with an annual target rent of CHF 2.8 million. Leukerbad Clinic accounts for 23.8% of the target rents in the entire Senioresidenz portfolio.
The real estate company has acquired the Leukerbad Clinic property in Leukerbad (VS). acquired in a sale and leaseback transaction in May 2018. The purchase price for the entire clinic complex, consisting of four buildings and an underground parking garage, was CHF 34 million. A 20-year leaseback agreement until May 2038 was agreed at the time. (ah)
