Swiss Life AM buys Swedish real estate company

With the acquisition of Wilfast Förvaltning, the asset manager is expanding its presence in the Nordic countries. All employees will be taken on and the Gothenburg location will be retained.

Swiss Life Asset Managers is acquiring the Swedish real estate company Wilfast Förvaltning from Gothenburg. Swiss Life AM explains that this move will further strengthen its position as one of the leading institutional real estate managers in Europe.

In the foreseeable future, Wilfast will operate under the Swiss Life Asset Managers brand. The Gothenburg location will be retained and all employees will also be taken on. The existing management will remain on board, and the company will become part of Swiss Life Asset Managers Nordic in operational terms.

Wilfast was founded in 1992 and provides services for administration and management, leasing, transactions and project development in the real estate sector. According to Swiss Life AM, the company manages real estate worth 20 billion Swedish kronor (CHF 1.65 billion) with a total area of 1.6 million square meters. It specializes in commercial real estate in Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

According to the information provided, Swiss Life AM and Wilfast have a long-standing business relationship and have worked together successfully on numerous projects. The acquisition is a logical step in establishing the Swiss Life Asset Managers brand in Sweden.

The transaction was completed on January 25, 2024. The contracting parties have agreed not to disclose the sale price. (ah)
