Implenia has won two civil engineering projects in Switzerland and new building construction contracts in Germany. ARGE Niesen, consisting of partners Walo Bertschinger AG, Kästli Bau AG, Weibel AG and Implenia, each with a share of 25%, was awarded the contract by the Swiss Federal Roads Office (Astra) for the complete renewal of the N06 highway section between Thun Süd and Spiez. The total contract value is CHF 100 million, with Implenia's share amounting to CHF 25 million. Astra also awarded the Rose consortium with partners Cellere Bau AG (28%), Walo Bertschinger AG (28%) and Morant AG (16%), under the leadership of Implenia (28%), the contract for the complete renovation of the section of the urban highway between St. Gallen West and East, including four junctions and renovation work on tunnels and bridges. Implenia's share here amounts to CHF 28 million.

Implenia is realizing building construction projects in Germany for a further CHF 60 million. Implenia is acting as general contractor for the German project developer Ehret + Klein in the renovation of two listed properties on Schwanthalerstrasse in Munich. As much of the old building fabric as possible is to be retained, but structurally upgraded and extended in some areas. Pre-certification in accordance with the DGNB Gold Standard has already been awarded. Sustainable building materials will also be used in line with the cradle-to-cradle approach. The project will start in the first quarter of 2024.

Implenia is also building two further production facilities in Ingelheim as part of the new innovation center of the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim. Both buildings have been commissioned as an extended shell construction and are to be handed over to the customer after a short construction period. A high proportion of prefabricated and semi-finished parts will be used. Another contract win for Implenia in Germany is the turnkey construction of a new canteen kitchen for the Evangelische Heimstiftung in Neuenstadt am Kocher (Baden-Württemberg). (aw)
