UBS fund Sima plans capital increase

The fund heavyweight wants to raise CHF 200 million, including for new acquisitions.

The fund management company UBS Fund Management (Switzerland) AG is planning a capital increase for the Sima fund at the end of April/beginning of May 2024. It is expected to be in the order of around CHF 200 million. The exact conditions will be announced in mid-April 2024. "The fund management company reserves the right to postpone the capital increase depending on market developments," writes UBS in a statement. The additional funds are earmarked for the purchase of properties, the financing of renovations and construction projects as well as the repayment of debt financing.

With total fund assets of CHF 11.5 billion, the fund invests in residential and commercial properties throughout Switzerland. (aw)
