Swisscanto AST announces next capital increase
Up to CHF 200 million is to be raised for the "Responsible Switzerland Real Estate" investment group.
The Swisscanto Investment Foundation is planning a capital increase for the "Swisscanto AST Real Estate Responsible Switzerland" investment group in October/November 2024. The issue is to reach a maximum volume of CHF 200 million, Swisscanto announced. Existing investors in the investment group or Swisscanto AST will have a pre-subscription right, it says. New investors will then also be able to subscribe.
"The capital increase is based on the persistently high excess demand for the requirements of the long-established and very broadly diversified real estate investment group," writes the company. The issue proceeds will be used "depending on the transaction opportunities" for acquisitions of core properties in the residential and commercial segments. The proceeds will also be used to finance ongoing projects and possibly also to reduce the debt ratio.
Swisscanto intends to announce details together with the annual business results in October. (aw)
