Helvetia: Completion of the IPO of the Swiss Property Fund

The real estate fund, whose volume recently reached the billion-euro threshold, has been traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange since June 25

The Helvetia (CH) Swiss Property Fund has been listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange since yesterday. The fund of Helvetia Asset Management AG is included in the SXI Real Estate Funds Broad Index (SVIIT), which comprises all real estate funds listed on the SIX that have invested at least 75% of their assets in Switzerland. The index currently consists of 42 listed real estate companies and funds. According to the stock exchange, the SVIIT has achieved growth of 6.1% in the last twelve months.

The Helvetia Swiss Property Fund was launched in 2020 and invests primarily in residential real estate with a focus on large and medium-sized cities. It comprises 46 properties with a market value of CHF 1.0 billion at the end of the first quarter.

Finma approved the amendment to the fund contract at the beginning of the month. The restriction to qualified investors no longer applies, and the fund's investor base will be expanded to include public investors following the listing. (aw)
