Nokera: CEO Ralph Burkhardt passes away

He only took over the fortunes of the serial timber construction company, which now has 4,000 employees, at the end of 2023.

Ralph Burkhardt, the CEO of Nokera AG, passed away the week before last. This was announced by the Rüschlikon-based company, which specializes in serial timber construction. Burkhardt only took up his post in December 2023. He previously headed the German electronics company R+S Group, which was acquired by Nokera. Born in 1970, the electronics and IT specialist joined the R+S Group seven years ago.

"The loss weighs heavily, both personally and entrepreneurially," says Norbert Ketterer, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nokera, a well-known real estate and financial investor and formerly one of the major investors in the Implenia construction group. With Nokera, he is pursuing the goal of "transforming the construction industry through a scalable and efficient approach to serial production with wood and thus actively driving forward the energy transition in the building sector". The company employs 4,000 people in Germany and Switzerland. According to Nokera, up to 30,000 residential units can be produced annually in the world's largest serial timber construction factory near Magdeburg in Germany. (aw)
