Implenia builds hotel complex in Andermatt-Reuss
Implenia has won construction contracts worth a total of 200 million Swiss francs in Switzerland. One of these comes from Andermatt Swiss Alps AG for a hotel and apartment complex.
The hotel is being built as a solid construction with an element façade and a wooden roof truss. It has 66 rooms, restaurants & bars, 164 apartments and a spa and fitness area. The hotel extends over three individual buildings connected by a lobby landscape on the first floor. The new building will be heated by district heating, cooled by groundwater and a photovoltaic system integrated into the façade will supply a significant proportion of the electricity. In addition to the hotel construction, Implenia will also build part of the access road and a snow protection roof. Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2025 and be completed in November 2027.
Implenia has also announced further orders for the Buildings Division in the master builder segment. The company is building two large residential developments in Köniz near Bern and in Zug, new school buildings in Binningen and in Zug and the new community center in Pratteln. These contracts will be completed between autumn 2024 and autumn 2025. The total order volume of these new orders for the Buildings division amounts to more than CHF 200 million. (aw)
