Schroder Investment Management announces that it is considering a capital increase for Schroder Immoplus in the course of the first quarter. The fund management company expects the issue to take place at the end of January/beginning of February. The issue could have a volume of CHF 165 million.

The fund has reportedly expanded its portfolio by acquiring a large life science property. The acquisition increased the debt ratio to just under 25%. The proceeds from the capital increase will be used to increase flexibility for new acquisitions, make investments in the existing portfolio and strengthen the equity base. (aw)
