Zurich: Swiss Life renovates headquarters
According to a media report, the Group is moving from General-Guisan-Quai 40 to the "Hochhaus zur Palme", which has 11,000 square meters of floor space, for two years.

The insurance group Swiss Life is temporarily leaving its headquarters at General-Guisan-Quai 40 in Zurich. As reported by the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung", the company with 850 employees is moving into the "zur Palme" high-rise building for two years, which is currently being prepared for interim use. This is due to renovation work at the company's headquarters, which was originally completed in 1939 and is no longer technically up to date.
The Hochhaus zur Palme has 11,000 sqm of usable space and was acquired in 2017 (IB reported) - for an estimated purchase price of CHF 160 to 170 million, according to the NZZ. After returning to the company's original headquarters, the high-rise building at the Palme is to be put back on the market. (aw)
