ISS expands business with real estate companies
According to a press release, the FM service provider increased its share of real estate services for real estate investors from 12 to 18% last year.
ISS Switzerland reported an increase in sales of 8% to CHF 901 million in the 2024 financial year. According to the facility management company, the year was characterized by stable organic growth. Two long-term contract extensions for the two largest customer mandates are highlighted in particular. As can be seen from the consolidated balance sheet, these are a banking client, whose contract was extended by six years, and Swisscom (7 years). ISS does not provide any information on profit for the national company in Switzerland.
According to ISS Switzerland, it manages over 10,000 buildings in the office, healthcare, education, transportation, industry and life sciences sectors and employs 14,200 people. In total, FM services account for 83% of total revenue, of which 60% is attributable to infrastructure services such as cleaning, reception and security. "Real estate services for real estate investors developed particularly strongly and now account for 16% of revenue," according to a press release. In addition to real estate, the five largest customer segments include office buildings (29%), healthcare & pharmaceuticals (11%), industry & manufacturing (9%), trade & retail (6%) and transportation & infrastructure (9%).
Construction project management has also developed into an important pillar of the business. Last year, projects with a total volume of over CHF 140 million were realized. (aw)
