Action: Non-food discounter opens first Swiss store

The Dutch non-food discounter Action has just opened its first store in Switzerland in Bachenbülach (ZH). This marks the official start of expansion in what is now the fast-growing chain's 13th market. The second store is due to open in Martigny (VS) on April 24. Action operates almost 3,000 stores across Europe.

The store in Bachenbülach is located at Grabenstrasse 2 and has over 1,150 square meters of space. Action's concept is based on a fast-moving product range: the discounter introduces 150 new products every week. Around 1,500 products cost less than two francs and the store offers a total of 6,000 items - from laundry and cleaning to personal care, toys and entertainment, DIY, gardening and outdoor. (aw)
